My Story
I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and have since dedicated my career to working with individuals facing chronic and acute health conditions. My passion lies in helping people recognize their own strength and empowering them to feel more capable and achieve more.
During my studies, I noticed a significant gap in services for those with chronic and acute health issues, especially within the older population. This realization motivated me to gain extensive clinical experience and earn my certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Furthermore, I am a registered kinesiologist with British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
In the past, I have helped clients reach a healthy blood pressure range, manage their blood sugar, and improve their mobility from previous injuries to return to their activities of daily living. Additionally, I have volunteered as a coach for the Vancouver Special Olympics Floor Hockey team, which was very rewarding as I watched the athletes improve their athletic skills and overall confidence. I am committed to bringing both my knowledge and a compassionate approach to my work, helping clients reach their health and fitness goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, cycling, and cooking. I’m known for dabbling in new hobbies but also trying not to overwhelm myself with too many commitments. I believe in balancing professional dedication with personal passions, and I'm always up for trying something new or exploring the outdoors.
